The Top 5 Places I Go for Design Inspiration

By Paige Whitaker, Art Director

1. Dribbble

Dribbble is a basketball themed community design platform where users can upload their ‘shots’ and save work that inspires them into ‘buckets.’ There are more basketball puns on the site that you can see for yourself, but Dribbble is basically instagram for designers. Upload your work, whether it be a logo, icon, digital ad, or fancy illustration. Then follow other designers and read some blogs or search for very specific design inspiration.

2. The Dieline

This site is PACKAGING PARADISEEEEEE. If you are into looking at packaging design (who isn’t?), go to thedieline.com, like, right now. The photography….the branding….it’s a visual feast.

3. Awwwards

So you wanna look at some nice websites? Awwwards is where it’s at. You can find any kind of website for any industry that your heart desires here. You can search by color, design style, or technology used. And they are all just so beautiful. *chef’s kiss*

4. The Inspiration Grid

The Inspiration Grid!!! This one has it all. Logos! Photography! Illustration! Typography! Even cars if you’re into that sort of thing! If Ariana Grande were a graphic designer, she would use this website. You want it, you got it!

5. IdentityDesigned.com

If you love Brand Identity as much as I do, you must know this site. And we should probably be friends. This site has so much amazing inspiration in a range of executions and industries. I could waste so many hours on this site…I say that as if I have not already wasted so many hours on this site. Jump into this rabbit hole with me.
